CECAL has a wide variety of classes and services, all designed to enrich the wellbeing of our diverse community. Check out our regular offerings on this page, and stay up to date on one-off events throughout the year!

  • Tai Chi & Qigong

    Connect to your internal energy and lift some stress with our Tai Chi and Qigong classes, taught by Master Johnny Lee. Johnny has over 30 years’ teaching experience, and offers classes at Beginner and Advanced levels.

    Tai Chi and Qigong classes run on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8am–9am at CECAL, and cost $10 per class.

  • Stretching Classes

    If you’re looking to feel lighter and longer, join our weekly stretching class with exercise physiologist Angeliki Stivactas. The class will stretch all major muscle groups with a variety of stretching techniques including using chairs to improve control, balance and coordination.

    Stretching class runs on Wednesdays from 8am–8:45am at CECAL, and costs $10 per class. Bring a yoga mat.

  • After-school Art Class

    Primary school kids’ Thursday afternoons are sorted with our after-school arts and craft classes! Fine Arts Graduate Mik Pastore will be teaching a mix of drawing, painting and crafts, and parents/carers will receive a class plan from Mik every week.

    Art class runs on Thursdays during school term, from 4.15-5.15 pm for 5–11 year olds and cost $ 2 per child.

    Places are limited and bookings are essential. Kids must be supervised by their carers during the session.

  • Computer Classes

    Brush up on your computer skills. We have started a new format for our computer class and will walk participants through topics such as “Detecting Scams”, “Online Shopping” and “Using your Mobile Phone”.

    The class will run fortnightly on Tuesdays from 2pm–4pm. Cost of each class is $ 5 and bookings are essential. Contact Reception to find out start dates for the classes.

  • Justice of the Peace

    CECAL offers a Justice of the Peace service every Monday from 10am–1pm. Please phone ahead to make a booking on (02) 9559 4013. You may also visit your local police station or post office for this service.
