CECAL’s Youth Space is an exciting new addition to the Centre, zooming in close on the needs of young people aged 11–14 years old in the Canterbury and Hurlstone Park area in their interactions with their environment and the wider community. The program is also here as a touchpoint, putting young people in contact with referral services, information, and other support. It is funded by the Office of Responsible Gambling. Supplementary to the Youth Space, CECAL also facilitates Parenting Workshops focused on engaging adolescents and transitioning to High School.

CECAL Youth Space

We are a school-based program for students age between 11-14 that boosts their engagement in school. Through interactive workshops, students are motivated to engage in activities that foster important life skills. You can look forward to fun skills-building activities, conversations around health and well-being, and activities to foster strong community links.

Youth Space is free for participating schools and are tailored to each school’s individual needs. We are currently running a Youth Space at Earlwood Public School. For more information, get in touch with us at Reception@cecal.org.au or phone at (02) 9559 4013.
